A complete control and remote monitoring system for Frigostar Comfort heat pumps

We developed a complete control and remote monitoring system for the Frigostar Comfort heat pump range, replacing the third-party OEM control unit that shipped with the equipment.
What the solution consists of
- STM32 based control firmware running three parallel RS485 buses (operator panel, compressor inverter, gas sensor)
- DWIN HMI operator panel with fully rewritten display software
- Telemetry server with a purpose-built binary protocol and real-time data transfer
- Administration portal for manufacturing and service workflows
- End-user mobile application for iOS and Android
- Manufacturing preparation: BOM, contract manufacturer quotes, end-of-line test and firmware flashing
The outcome
The manufacturer ended up with a control platform it fully owns — the firmware, the operator interface and the data belong to them, not to a supplier. Equipment in the field can be monitored remotely, and service needs can be predicted from the data.
